Boat on 45th

The family and I were walking back from the Henry Art Gallery when we stumbled across the photo of App's boat that was included in the City Panorama project from 2010/11. I knew it was in the area, though I actually had never seen it in context.
From the City Panorama Project, PCNW, 4 Culture, and King County Metro. On 45th on the overpass between the U district and Wallingford, Seattle, Washington.

City Panorama Metro Bus Shelter Project in Seattle

One of my panoramic pieces was chosen for the project CITY PANORAMA. The work will be installed in A King County Metro Bus Shelter. The project sounds fabulous and I am excited to be a part of it!  Thanks to all the players for putting it together.

The photograph that will be included is an image of App Applegate's boat, the Aproximada. I feel the image is a valuable addition to the Seattle urban landscape. Aproximada shares a small glimpse into some of the rural, folk, and cultural heritage of the San Juan Islands.
