Petra and the Bird

Petra and I talked about the dead bird at length. We discussed that I was making a still life based on her composition of the bird, carefully placed on top of the leaf and shovel. She explained to me, that her mother is a MIT trained, PhD molecular biologist and now artist. I was thoroughly impressed with how comfortable Petra was with doing a field examination of the bird.
