Living Sea Images and Cousin Marc Shargel

My wifes cousin Marc Shargel was recently in the San Juan Islands. Marc lives in Santa Cruz and is an underwater photographer, among other great qualities such as Bodie's dad. Marc took a break from diving and stayed with us on Orcas for a night. We had a great time chatting about family, the future, and photography. Not knowing much about underwater photography myself, I always enjoy learning about what is involved in making underwater pictures.
Marc most recently switched from film cameras to digital, which is changing his working habits including the fact that he can take far more then 36 images per dive. Marc has been doing work with Marine Conservation Organizations on the California coast and is actively involved with the preservation of marine habitats.
Marc also just recently published his first book, Wonders of the Sea. You can learn more about Marc and his photography at www.livingseaimages.com
